The Coming Basketball Bonanza: NBA Playoffs

Posted on 03. Apr, 2014 by in NBA

Just as March Madness is ending, basketball fans do not have to wait long for the next awesome sporting event. In April, the NBA will begin its own playoff tourney. This year will prove to be another exiting conclusion to an already eventful season. There are still a handful of season games yet to be played, but many playoff berths have already been decided. This year, the NBA playoffs will begin on April 19th with the finals starting in early summer on June 5th.

Competition in the NBA Playoffs

As it looks now, the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs lead the Eastern and Western conferences respectively. They will face the number eight seeds in their conferences which are the Atlanta Hawks and the Memphis Grizzlies. Although the number one seeds usually receive favorable matchups, it does not mean that they are an automatic shoe-in to the finals. Any one of the participating teams is a contender for the title of Champion. This year, look out for the Chicago Bulls, who after many years of questionable ability have come into their own this season. Another strong team is the Oklahoma City Thunder who actually have a better season record than the Miami Heat.

Purchasing Tickets

Tickets for the NBA playoffs are sure to sell quickly as soon as they become available, so if you are interested in going, you must be on the lookout for new information concerning future games. You can find great seats with the help of your favorite online ticket vendor. If you end up purchasing tickets you can no longer use, consider selling them through the internet. Some ticket websites will even pay for your ticket whether or not they have a buyer lined up. Do not miss your favorite team play as they fight for the chance to be in the NBA finals. Watching on TV is no substitute for being there in the arena and hearing the crowd roar with every small victory and defeat.
