The regular NFL season is approaching the halfway point. As to be expected, the season is off to an exciting start and the guessing game of what teams will make it to the Super Bowl is in full swing. Here are some of NFL stories of the 2013 season.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Bronocs

It is hard to miss all the hype surrounding the Peyton Manning’s 6-0 Denver Broncos. Their closet call of the season was the game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Broncos prevailed due to an interception by Tony Romo late in the 4th quarter that led to game winning Matt Prater field goal. The Broncos travel to Indianapolis on October 20th for a highly anticipated match-up on Peyton Manning’s old stomping ground. The Broncos record has been one of the best NFL stories so far this season.

The 6-0 Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are the only other undefeated team in the NFL. They play in the AFC West along with the Denver Broncos. Like the Broncos, the Chiefs squeaked by the Cowboys, winning by one point. The Chiefs and the Broncos have yet to meet this season, but have two upcoming games that will be played in November and December.

Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints

Sean Peyton is calling the shots again in New Orleans and Saints are off to a 5-1 start. Payton returned to his head coaching job after a 1 season suspension for his participation in the Saints bounty program. The Saints lost a heartbreaker to the Patriots in Foxborough in the 4th quarter of the October 13th game. Tom Brady threw a touchdown with 5 seconds left on the clock.

The Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints have been 3 of the teams in the spotlight so far this season. Stay tuned to see the teams and the players that will be a part of the major NFL stories for the second half of the season.
